The Clipper were produced from 1969 to around 1988 according to
article in Practical Sailor.  Most appear to have been produced in the mid 70's if you go by the 150+ members of this association that have the Clippers

Jonathan Cannon sent us an email stating that Cheoy Lee produced 78 Clipper 36's with the first one, Hull #2094 being produced in 1968

July 2014 We had a great article on the Clipper 36 sent to us.  Click here to read

The 36 was in production from 1969 to about 1988.  The 36 came with 100 gal glass water tank, and 60 gal fuel tank.  According to the original brochure the 36 could be purchased with either diesel or gas engines.  Our 36 has a 37 HP Westerbeke 4-107 diesel.  Also the 36 was available in two floor plans and came either as Schooner or Ketch rigged.  The 36 was built to Lloyds 100A1 Specs.
The 36 was built with Sitka Spruce spars and had an external hung ballast of cast iron.
