fleet of aprox 32-36 boats sailing. Bruno has sailed in the
Master Mariners regatta the past 9 years. Since ownership he
has varnished, painted, recanvised the deck, overhauled the engine
all with much joy and pleasure. "These boats are some of the

"Kuanyin" - 1963 Pacific
Clipper
OWNERS - Djann Hoffman & Lisa
Faithorn
AREA OF SAILING - Marshall, CA
E-Mail Djann We
bought the Kuanyin in 1982 in Berkeley ,CA, sailed out of Berkeley
for many years, moved her to Sausalito for a while, then when the
deck began delaminating seriously, we hauled her over
the hill to
the little boatyard in Marshall, CA . Ive been restoring her for
three years and she is nearly ready to go back in the water.
She is all teak, yard #811, a custom ordered lapstrake version,
copper riveted with cast iron keel, fiberglass over plywood decks
and the original Stuart Turner one cylinder gas power plant. I'm
rerigging to fly a cruising spinnaker from the masthead. I have
the original spinnaker pole. I'm currently looking for some nicer
sails and understand that the PC's and FF"S have the same
size sails as Folkboats. I understand , also, that there is
another 1963 PC coming to Marshall soon. Lots more, but you
said short. |

This boat was previously mis-categorized
on this site as a Frisco Flyer. It is in fact a Pacific Clipper. I
have recently purchased it and am about to undertake a restoration.
It is an all wood boat with the mast stepped through the cabin. The
canvas on the decks needs replacing and since the original inboard
has been removed I am searching for a replacement for that as well.
Also removed were the original dragon woodcarvings (someone must
have thought they'd look better on the living room wall). If you
have any information or suggestions or just want to compare notes
please feel free to email. |

She turned up in the boatyard in
which I work, after spending months doing the monthlies on her to
keep the rain water pumped out, I fell in love, she had evidently
been under twice and the sinking issue was never addressed, she was
eventually abandoned and acquired by the boat yard. After equerries
my boss gifted her to me, she seems sound and in need of TLC all the
carvings are intact and she has not been altered. Chomping at the
bit to restore her to her pristine original glory. Will submit

#1707
OWNERS - Greg Flatt
AREA OF SAILING - Seabrook,

E-Mail Greg
We originally owned this Flyer from 1976 through 1979. At the
age of 16, I sailed Eagle from New Orleans to Seabrook Texas in the
summer of 1976 when our family was transferred. I went off to
college in 1980 and Eagle was sold. We looked at repurchasing her in
1984 but we had another boat by then. I became interested in finding
Eagle in 2003. Through the Cheoy Lee web site I was able to locate
her present owner and was able to buy her back after a 25 year
absence. I am now 45 and will give her a refit and continue on my
sailing adventures. Thank you James for a wonderful web site. |

Terry "Cheoyous", hull # 1238,
was previously known as "SWORDFISH" on the west coast of Florida,
under owners William Murray and later Scott Barker. Before coming to
Florida, she was known as BRENDA JANE out of Los Angeles. The "oral
history" is that she was restored on the West Coast and two guys
sailed her through the Panama Canal and up to her new owner in
Florida. I'd like to know of any others who owned her or remember
her from her earlier days. I hope to have her restored and sailing
the Tennessee River by Summer

because I want to know if this yacht had been given a name. It is a
1964 Frisco Flyer III, and was originally built for a Col. Nevin. The
Yard Number is 1498. Anyway if you have any knowledge about this
yacht or of Col S. M. Nevin please contact me by return email.
I am currently building a website to
follow the reconstruction process. You can see the first stages of
this website at:

you have experience in reconstruciton of these yachts. Please feel
